The World of Large and Small Railways

For every grown man and boy the toy railway is one toy which they have always dreamed about and which they will remember all their life. They almost certainly remember emotions which accompanied unpacking the box found on Christmas, laying convoluted tracks, putting locomotive and wagons in correct order and making all the machinery move around with characteristic whistling sounds. For all of those who have these memories we have opened our new exhibition “The World of Large and Small Railways”.

Starting on June 30th we invite you to immerse yourself in the world from your childhood, and also to learn about railways and how to make model trains.
Piotr Ołowski, voivod in pomorskie voivodship is a patron of the exhibition which was developed in result of cooperation between the Central Maritime Museum and Regional Railway Association in Gdynia. The exhibition will be showing model trains, sound and light performance telling how difficult an effort it is to make a model train. We will also present model-makers from the Regional Railway Association who have made models for our exhibition.

Come and see!
